Millikin Bros account book, 1877-1879.

Contains inventory of a wholesale wine and liquor business at the time of sale and an inventory for the following two years. Inventory not only includes a wide range of liquors and wines but some fixtures and tools, like barrels, bottles and corks, as well. Also includes agreement of sale.

John Minot Milliken came to California in 1850. In partnership with his brother Theodore, he was the owner of a number of business enterprises operating under the name "Millikin Bros." (The reason for the different spelling of their name is unknown). After Theodore died, John sold off all of his remaining businesses including the wholesale wine and liquor business in Sacramento owned in partnership with S.F. Davis.
